This post is about my last trip to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia when I was invited to join the regional media launch of Dyson’s newest product, the Dyson Pure Cool™. 

But first, let me share with you what happened in Kuala Lumpur…

First order of the business in the city is a store visit in the Dyson store located in the Gardens Mall.

This is where we first met Mark Heard, one of Dyson’s Engineers. He talked about the innovation and science behind every unique Dyson product.

What’s interesting to note about this Dyson store is that it is the biggest one in South East Asia! So here I was surrounded by the many kinds of Dyson fans!

The next day, the media group from all over Southeast Asia was led to the venue of the launch : the Glasshouse at Seputeh.  This is where we met more people behind this amazing brand!

Dyson launches new purifying fans to clean every corner of the room

After a brief talk which was again led by Mark Heard, one of Dyson’s Engineers, the new Dyson Pure Cool™ purifying fan was finally unveiled! This newest product brings together Dyson’s expertise in airflow, filtration and electronics to tackle the issue of indoor air pollution and purify every corner of the room.

We all know that most of the air we consume these days is indoors — as this is where we spend 90% of our lives. But did you also know that our indoor spaces also contain microscopic particles which are invisible to the human eye?

Pollution sources like our city’s pollution, particulate matter and pollen can enter the home and combine with indoor pollution sources like cleaning products, pet dander and disintegrated feces. Even our indoor paint, cooking fumes and scented candles are considered to be indoor pollutants!  And because modern homes are becoming better sealed nowadays to comply with energy efficiency requirements, this is when pollutants can be trapped inside and circulation of airflow can become compromised.

The new Dyson Pure Cool™ purifying fans –comes in a large tower format for floor placement, and a small desk format for worktops and floors – and it automatically purifies the whole room properly, capturing gases and 99.95% of ultrafine particles as small as 0.1 microns².  Both machines are available in a White/Silver colour and Iron/Blue colour.

Dyson’s unique approach to purification is driven by in-house expertise in electronics, filtration, and airflow :

• Dyson Pure Cool™ purifying fans reveal the indoor pollution you can’t see – new LCD display reports pollutants in the home in real time, and then react automatically using a unique Dyson algorithm.
• Dyson’s Pure Cool ^TM purifying fans feature a 360 degree fully-sealed filter system combining an activated carbon filter to remove gases, and a Glass HEPA filter that captures 99.95% of microscopic allergens and pollutants as small as 0.1 microns.
• Air Multiplier™ technology and new 350⁰ oscillation project and mix purified air around the whole room to purify every corner. Fan mode and diffused mode deliver year round usage.

And as you can see, I really enjoyed the cool purified air of not just one but two Dyson Pure Cool™ in front of me!

The Dyson Pure Cool™ purifying fan is the only purifier with Air Multiplier™ technology and 350⁰ degree oscillation, allowing it to project clean air to every corner of the room. By expanding the degree of oscillation to 350⁰ degrees and using Air Multiplier™ technology, the machine can project 290 litres of purified air per second to every corner of the room!

Do you know that this purifying fan also has a Dyson Link app? Available for iOS and Android, the Dyson Link app enables you to track indoor and outdoor pollution, temperature and humidity levels. You can also use it to control your machine and see how many hours of filter life you have left.

So yes folks, the Dyson Pure Cool™ purifying fans will now be available in the Dyson stores at Greenbelt 5, SM Aura Premier, Century City Mall, Greenhills Promenade and the newest Podium Mall, as well as select stores of Rustan’s and True Value.
