Are you always looking for a place where to take your family for Sunday brunch? I’m exactly the same way! As soon as Friday hits, my mind starts to scramble (and I start my research!) where I can take my family on Sunday — a place that’s nice, cozy and relaxing… and of course, a place with good food that everyone will enjoy!
So last Sunday, I brought my family to Raffles Makati’s Mireio restaurant, to try their newly launched Luxe Sunday Brunch Buffet.
The place offers diners a gastronomic feast of live-cooking stations and a sumptuous buffet featuring continental fare highlighted by Provençal and French favourites.
Each dish is masterfully created and painstakingly prepared by Executive Chef Anne-Cecile Degenne and Provençal-native Mireio Chef De Cuisine Herve Clair. 
This Luxe Sunday Brunch Buffet offers an abundant selection of savouries too such as : a live-carving station featuring tender Wagyu beef and deliciously roasted porchetta and lamb…
As well as a bountiful selection of fresh seafood such as lobster, tiger prawns, crabs and an assortment of clams and mussels!
And as you can see from these photos, I had all my seafood grilled and cooked with butter and lots of garlic! Delicious!
I also had an assortment of their French Tartines… after all I don’t know of any other place in town where I can get these scrumptuous French style open-faced sandwiches!
These are little slices of baguette bread topped with green peas and guacamole…
Smoked salmon and green apple…
And Bayonne ham with ricotta! They were definitely worth every bite!
There was also an on-the-spot risotto corner that made the most al dente and flavourful risotto I’ve ever tried…
They made it with porcini, truffles, and aged parmesan — And yes, those were a lot of truffles!
A grazing table decked with a collection of cheese hailing from regions around Europe, charcuterie, homemade terrine, and antipasti were also available for us to dig into!
And last but certainly, not the least, the family capped off the lunch with an abundant variety of Mireio’s delightful desserts! There was the dark-chocolate Black Emperor cake, the classic lavender crème brulee; pistachio and raspberry religieuse; fruity calamansi meringue éclair; and an array of macarons and chocolate truffles!
It was surely the best way to end our long and relaxing lunch… and certainly what you can call a luxe Sunday afternoon!
