TSM Homemade Recipe: Peanut Butter Banana Power Bowl

Since my mornings are always quite busy and packed, I’ve learned to make breakfasts for me and the family the fast and easy way! One of our favorites is this Peanut Butter Banana Power Bowl.  It has everything we love in one bowl : yogurt, bananas and yes, peanut butter! This dish is so simple and quick to make as you just throw everything in and you’re good to go! I also added more “power” to this bowl by using almond milk (instead of regular milk) and topping it with chia seeds and chopped almonds!

Now how’s that for a satisfying and power breakfast — that not only is delicious but loaded with vitamins and nutrients as well?

Here are the ingredients :

And your toppings :

Ingredients (serves two)

2 frozen bananas, sliced

1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt

1 cup almond milk

1 cup ice cubes

1/4 cup peanut butter

*I particularly liked The Good Peanut Butter from 7 Grains Pantry (which you can order from here)

1 tbsp chia seeds

1 tsp vanilla extract

A pinch of salt (if peanut butter is unsalted)

Toppings :

Sliced bananas

Chia Seeds

Peanut Butter

Chopped Almonds

Directions:
Step 1 : Place all ingredients in a blender and puree until creamy and smooth.

*Depending on the power of your blender, this may take up to 2 to 3 minutes.

Step 2 :  Pour into individual bowls and add your toppings!

*Serve with a smile to start your morning right!

Here’s a quick video to show you how it’s done :
