TSM FAVE THINGS – JANUARY

So it’s already the first day of February! I myself can’t believe that the first month of 2017 just quickly passed us by! Seriously, I am still recovering from the craziness of the holidays and here we are already welcoming another new month!

Where did time go? What really happened last month? Let’s take a look at my TSM FAVE THINGS for JANUARY :

New Year’s with the family

I spent the last days of December and welcomed 2017 with my family in Hong Kong. I would say it was a much more quiet celebration than what we are used to here in Manila. But this was something I really wanted…

We were a group of 10 (including my in laws), and spent the New Year’s Eve by having a good dinner in one of our favorite restaurants in the city, watching the fireworks from our bedroom and sleeping right after that. And the next day… we all woke up feeling recharged, thankful and already excited for the year ahead!

Indeed, I am very grateful to have spent the holidays with the people who really mattered to me the most. I couldn’t have asked for a better way to welcome the new year!

Trip to Niseko

So on the first day of January, our family left Hong Kong and we made our way to Niseko, Japan. Since we didn’t have a White Christmas, we said we will all make up for it by having a “White New Year” instead! And true enough, when we got to Niseko, it was snowing and the whole city was powdery white! It was a glorious sight to behold, I tell you — especially if you’re coming from an all-year round tropical place like the Philippines! We took the kids sledding and skiing almost every day — and I can’t wait to share the rest of this magical trip with you in my next blog post. So stay tuned!

Back to Work

As soon as I got back to Manila, it was back to work for me! Recently, I’ve been working on adding more videos on my you tube channel, so I can give you an updated and more interactive The Spoiled Mummy! This does not mean I am leaving the blog though, because I still love the written word… but this is simply for us to keep up with our fast, modern times! So yes, this means you can expect more videos to come from me as I share with you even more exciting news and stories in the days ahead!

Just like this photo which was taken behind the scenes at one of our video shoots recently. I interviewed one of Manila’s most stylish and established fashion entrepreneurs, Joanna Preysler Francisco, and we talked about her many passion projects, her inspirations in style and love, and how she is able to balance her life as a hands-on mom and a successful businesswoman. This interview is coming soon!

65th Miss Universe

We all know by now that the Philippines hosted the recently concluded 65th Miss Universe. This was such a big deal to our country , given that this is the biggest beauty pageant in the world (or shall I say, universe?!) and we welcomed more than 80 delegates from different countries! Another big factor about this event of course was that the reigning queen, Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach is from the Philippines!  So you can just imagine how the pageant fever was at a high and how it gripped the whole nation on January 30, the day it was held!

I also wrote about a pre-pageant Miss Universe event I attended in a blog post here and I am also currently writing about the actual Miss Universe pageant I was able to witness (right in front of the stage, I tell you!) — and that will be up on the blog very soon!
