Kathy and Kathy Bespoke: Personalized and Keepsake Jewelry

One of my most treasured items is a keepsake locket. I keep my children’s photo in it and it makes me feel that they are always close to me, close to my heart.

It’s a beautiful, handmade piece of jewelry from an artisan line I was recently introduced to: Kathy and Kathy Bespoke. I was drawn to their jewelry line as I found them quite unique. You see, I have a soft spot for personalized and monogrammed items, so I know that whatever I end up choosing is really mine alone.

Kathy and Kathy Bespoke has a limited number of designs.  They give the utmost attention to craftsmanship and detail. This makes everything feel very personal and unique to its wearer.

The one I have is called the Clara Bow Locket.  It’s a keepsake locket ideal for us mummies who always want to keep a photo of their children (or loved one/s) close to them.

Kathy and Kathy Bespoke is run by Katherine Ann Sarabia-Babst and Kathy Gregorio-Añover, both Ilonggas who were born to families who have deep roots in Iloilo and are highly involved in promoting the culture and products of the province. The Sarabia family legacy, in fact, is one that is known for making fine jewelry and genuine article since 1945. In turn, the two Kathys believe that jewelry pieces must be treated as heirlooms and keepsakes. Their own items have been developed to carry the stories and sentiments that make life meaningful and memorable.

Take note that all these pieces are handcrafted. I personally feel the need to support local artisans—in this case, Ilonggo artisans—especially when they are creating such lovely, high quality products. Support them by purchasing their wares so their business becomes sustainable.

I have been assured that all Kathy and Kathy Bespoke custom pieces are created upon each request. This means that each piece is made by hand, made with love and passion for the art of it. I believe that jewelry making requires a lot from the artisan himself. So patronizing such beautiful bespoke items feels like supporting the artists as well. And we should do that: support and promote our local artisans and in this case, the beauty in their handmade things too.
