The Month That Was and What’s Next For Me Now

To say the past few weeks have been busy is an understatement. To be honest I haven’t had the time to catch my breath, sleep and, sadly, even play with my kids (yes, mom guilt strikes me every night, believe me!)

Everything happened so quickly. When I got back from Turkey middle of April, I was suddenly thrust into a very busy world: Areum skincare chose me as one of their brand ambassadors, Smart named me as one of their endorsers, (which is one of my biggest projects to date), Tous made me one of their Tous Ladies—all while doing my Grace Home on the side secretly (because no one knew what I was doing, not even my BFF!)

And then June happened… I surprised everyone and launched Grace Home out of the blue! I’ve had 2 press launches, hosted 2 trunk shows, set up the online shop (sort of), and in between I had a couple of shoots and interviews about this new business venture of mine. Not to mention, I’ve organized a couple of major events for other people here and there (under my TSM Luxe Events) and attended a few good events where I was invited to participate. And yes, all these were happening on top of my real, first love: blogging!

I was busier more than ever and for some ironic reason, I was also blogging more than ever. My energy was kept on high even in the middle of the night, as I would write till 2am. (I guess it was also because I was too excited during the day that my energy levels would still be at its peak at night, when the house is all quiet and asleep!) You may have noticed this too—how my blog has been filled with posts (3-4 posts a week), which is way more than my usual of 1-2 blog posts a week. I guess it goes without saying that this is so because I’ve been doing much more and therefore, I have more stories to write. I’ve been doing a lot more things and so I have more kwentos to share!

It’s been really a crazy busy month for me and to say that it was hectic is really an understatement. But I also know that I can’t complain. I am blessed to be where I am now. I am blessed to be doing what I love doing. It is not all glamorous, if I may say so. (There’s a lot of dirty work behind the scenes that people don’t see or that is published, let me tell you that!) But all these involved a lot of hard work, support from other people, guts from within, and patience all around. (Oh, don’t even get me started on how my patience was tested by a lot of things and a lot of people!)

But more than that, I believe it is also because of His amazing GRACE. I wouldn’t have done all these without His hand, without His stamp of approval, without His blessing. I wouldn’t have done all these without Him. Period. All that I am and all that I have now is because of Him. Really. And for that I am and will forever be extremely grateful.

As for now if you ask me where to, what’s next? All I can say is it’s time for me to take a self-imposed break. My family whom I haven’t “seen” in a long time because of my busy schedule deserves all of me. I am going on a short break, a holiday of sorts, to be refreshed, reenergized and to be filled with new inspiration once again. (Don’t we all need this every now and then?) So when I come back home, I promise you, it will even be better—more than ever.

  1. Congratulations on your successes Grace and enjoy your well – deserved break! Look forward to your future posts / kwentos! X

  2. We feel you Grace… we all need a lovely breather and break at times. We imposed one for ourselves as well, to rest the senses, the mind and the heart from the pace. Come back rested and recharged. Happy weekend!
