Happy New Year!!!

It’s been a while since I last wrote on the blog and I’m sure you understand why. The holidays just finished and the busy season was a whirlwind of activities happening one after another — as I am sure it was for all of you too.

It has always been like this for me every year. The end of November signals the start of the crazy, packed schedule — with my birthday happening on the 27th, followed a few days after by my little girl’s and then shortly thereafter, by the hubby’s.  And before I can even breathe through it, I found myself in the thick of things, the whole Christmas preparations swirling around me like a fast merry-go-round : going out to lunch (more often) with girlfriends, hosting (more) dinners at home, attending (several) reunions here and there, welcoming (a lot of!) balikbayans, and travelling for quick, short trips (Hong Kong before Christmas and Boracay for New Year’s) — all while doing my Christmas shopping, wrapping and delivering of gifts in the midst of our mad, traffic jammed city!

So yes, it was a time of madness, a month of craziness but also a season of good cheer and great joy. My busy albeit tiring schedule was filled with a lot of stories, laughter and fond memories, shared with my big family and a lot of friends, both old and new. The house was constantly open to everyone who wanted to come and celebrate and was “decorated” with a kind of a crazy mess — food baskets, gifts and wrapping paper strewn all over — that I didn’t mind seeing then. (Of course, it’s a completely different story now, LOL.)

Now that the holidays are officially over, we are all back to the normal grind. Back to school, back to work, back to routine. And here I am trying to get back to writing. (Thank you for checking back on me again!) I will try my best to write more often this year and share a little bit more about my love, life and experiences. I have a lot of backlog as you can tell and I will try to catch up as fast as I can, so thank you for bearing with me! 🙂

Even though we are thrown back to normalcy once again, let us remember that this new year is a gift that we should welcome with great hope and expectancy. Let’s begin 2015 with a positive mind and a grateful heart, for we are blessed to be alive and see another year unfold before our very eyes. Let’s take advantage of this opportunity to write a new beginning to our story, a new chapter in our book. Life passes by so quickly as we know — so we must live life to the fullest and love as hard and as much as we can, while we still can. Today more than ever, is the perfect day for a new beginning.

Light and love this 2015!

  1. Time sure does seem to go by so quickly. It’s now the spring of 2017.. Where does the time go? Is that your daughter in the picture? Cute! I love the Philippines beaches and Boracay is on my list the next time in the Philippines. The beaches look wonderful. Do you have any recommendations? I know its a touristy beach, but are there some resort locations that are a bit more secluded?
