Why I Love My Sleep

Just like most mummies out there, when it comes to the home, our main concerns are cleanliness and comfort. We like our homes to be clean and organized. We like our homes to be a place of comfort and security for everyone.

Same goes for the bedroom. I like my bedroom to look and smell clean all the time. I clean everyday, vacuum once a week, rearrange a few things here and there, every other week. I like it to be organized in a certain way so that I know where to find the things I need when I need them.

And in any bedroom, it is the bed which is primarily the source of comfort and security. No matter how big (or small) your bedroom is, if your own bed is not making you comfortable enough and is not giving you a good night’s rest, then the bed can be considered practically useless.

We all dream of sleeping enough hours at night so we can wake up refreshed and re-energized for the next day. The amount and quality of our sleep the night before is crucial on how we will face the next day’s challenges. This goes to show how sleep is very important for everyone – for all of us, but most especially for our children. It affects our overall well-being and it plays a major role in our children’s physical growth and mental development.

I have always valued my sleep. I need to have a good, uninterrupted 6-7 hours (max 8 hours) of sleep to function normally and happily the next day. 🙂 This means that having a good, top quality mattress for my bed is first and foremost very important to me!

So if you ask, why is having the right mattress important for a mummy like me and for the rest of my family?

Simple. It is because as a mom, I think about my family’s comfort day in and day out. (I’m sure most moms feel the same way too.) We all live such busy and stressful lives nowadays (whether at work, home, school or play) — that at the end of the day, we all just yearn for the simple comforts of home and sleeping in our own comfortable beds. This tells us that coming home to a good bed plays a very important role in our sense of comfort and security at home and in our day to day lives.
