Celebrating GRACEfully: Stillness and Calmness amidst Stress and Chaos

A month ago, my good friend life coach Kimi Lu and I hosted the fourth run of Celebrating GRACEfully, the Positivity Workshop.

The theme we chose for this event was something that is very current and much needed by us all : STILLNESS and CALMNESS amidst STRESS and CHAOS.

Through the generosity of our major sponsor and venue partner The Peninsula Manila, our workshop was held in a very cozy and elegant room — no less than the biggest and grandest in the hotel, The Peninsula Suite!

Our elegant space was made even more charming by the magical hands of our event stylist, Blue Box Design Studio! It was lovely to surrounded by the gorgeous scent of  fresh flowers (blooming roses and orchids) in various shades of pink!

It was a day of insightful learning, heartwarming sharing and loads of laughter, as each participant willingly opened their hearts generously to each one of us!

Here’s a short video of that meaningful afternoon spent with the ladies :

More lovely photos of our unguarded moments… Thank you Amari Moments for capturing these!

We are very grateful to all our sponsors who shared their lovely gifts with us!

Centro Holistico‘s Dr. Candy Drilon – Dalman also performed acupuncture for some of our guests who wanted to try a more holistic approach to healing and keeping still and calm.

Jeron Travel surprised one of our participants with a free overnight hotel stay in Taiwan!

And of course, what’s a Celebrating GRACEfully event without food — lots of food?

Thank you to The Peninsula Manila for our scrumptious afternoon tea spread!

And without a doubt, TASTE BY GRACE HOME was also there as my surprise treat for everyone!

Last but not the least, for the first time in the history of Celebrating GRACEfully, we partnered with a charitable organization.

In this event, we had Ms. Aileen Antolin of the Philippine Foundation for Breast Care Inc. (also known as the Kasuso Foundation), come and talk about the current situation of breast cancer in the country today.

We learned some shocking facts : 1 out of 13 women is expected to develop breast cancer in her lifetime and the Philippines has the highest incidence rate in the whole of Asia today! So the PFBCI or the Kasuso Foundation is here to help those in need — particularly the less fortunate women who cannot afford the treatments for breast cancer.

So if you need help and assistance (or you may know someone very close to you battling the Big C and need this kind of support group), please do get in touch with the PFBCI or the Kasuso Foundation at the East Avenue Medical Center, Quezon City. This fourth run of our Celebrating GRACEfully, the Positivity Workshop was truly one unforgettable and meaningful afternoon for both Kimi and I.

Not only did we make new friends… but we also learned so much from each other and our lovely guests!

It is our hope that all our guests that day went home with a lighter feeling and a happier mind and heart filled with positivity, and stillness and calmness…
