So I am back again in The A Institute for my regular beauty and wellness check!
I guess I need not elaborate further how this place has become my oasis, my escape of sorts from the stresses of the outside world. The moment I enter this well-appointed dermatological institute, my mind and body instantly feel calm and relaxed knowing that I am about to get the best service and care possible!
See what I mean? One look at my well-lit, bright and spacious room, and I know I am about to get pampered and spoiled here — much better than any other spa or dermatological clinic in the city!
So without further ado, let me share with you this newest high technology machine that I recently tried at The A Institute!
This is called the New VelaShape. It contours, shapes and slims the body by improving the cellulite and reducing the circumference (of the body part being treated) in as little as 1 treatment session. It provides the dramatic results we want, without any downtime or significant discomfort.
And to be scientific about it, the secret behind this machine is that it is the first and only technology that combines Elos with Vacuum and tissue manipulation in order to reduce the volume and appearance of the fat tissues. I would actually liken the whole experience to a (super) deep-tissue massage!
This is me prior to my first treatment of the New VelaShape. (Look at the size of my arms!!!)
The Elos technology combination of infrared light, radio frequency energy and vacuum is what causes the deep heating of the fat cells, their surrounding connective tissue and the underlying dermal collagen fibers. This type of efficient heating and vacuum stimulates the growth of new and better collagen and elastin which results in localized reduction in skin laxity, body volume and an overall improvement in skin structure and texture!
Most patients find the New VelaShape comfortable. I’m telling you, the feeling is really just like getting a warm and super deep tissue massage. The treatment is designed to accommodate our sensitivity and comfort level.
However, please note that it is normal to experience a warm sensation for a few hours post treatment. Your skin may also appear red for several hours.
This is me post-treatment. Notice the slight redness on my arm? That was the only “side effect” I got from the New VelaShape.
And to be honest about it, there was slight improvement of the treated area right away! It was noticeable the day after this first treatment – the skin on my arms immediately felt smoother and firmer. In fact, even clinical studies show that patients report an average reduction of 1-3 centimeters — after the first treatment alone!
